The TROMPETER Summer Extravaganza | feat. Mark Trompeter

Ah, summertime… my favorite time of the year! There's just something about the summer that fills me with excitement and joy. Whether you're a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor, there's just so many things for you to do and see in the Garden State. And here today, I want to share with you the ‘Mark Trompeter Summer Extravaganza’, ready? Let’s go!

One of my all time favorite activities is Tubing & every year me and a group of my friends would go Tubing down the Delaware River --- The spot we would go to is located in Frenchtown NJ and we  would just rent tubs for the day. During the trip, they have spots where you can buy food and chill along the river bed. Bus services were also provided to go back up to where you parked the car! The best part? The Big Bear River Tubing is just an hour away from Jersey City!

Summer is never complete without a visit to the beach and you can’t say New Jersey without thinking about Jersey Shore. Now, not every town is as wild as the MTV hit show "Jersey Shore", there are actually A LOT of family-friendly beaches. Beaches like Long Branch, Belmar, are always great but my personal favorite is Asbury Park. The best part is that it was always a quick drive from Jersey City, which evidently is very important to me!

If you're looking for a fun escape from the city, Lambertville and New Hope are two of my go-tos. Here’s a fun one for you history buffs, did you know that George Washington crossed the Delaware River on Christmas day and surprised the British troops in this area? It's a major turning point in the Revolutionary War and definitely worth checking out. These towns outside of the bustling city life offer some amazing attractions, food, and beautiful green state parks. And if you’re looking for something spooky you can enjoy a nice summer night ghost tour!

Finally, one of the most amazing events of the summer is the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Readington. It's the largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America, and definitely something you don't want to miss. I’ve checked this one off the bucket list some time ago but it’s something I would recommend to ALL my friends and family!
